Vanessa Anne Hudgens, now a famous actress and singer, was born December 14, 1988 in Salinas, California. She has gained worldwide fame for her role as Gabriella Montez in the Disney Channel High School Musical franchise.

High School Musical has, by far, brought Hudgens the most success. The franchise spawned a hit soundtrack, a worldwide concert tour, shows at Disneyland and Walt Disney World, and even a books series that helped Hudgens land on Forbes magazine's top-earning stars under 21 list, with earnings of over $2 million
Her debut album, V, reached #24 on the Billboard Charts and sold 34,000 copies within the first week. Hudgens' second album, Identified, did not do as well, probably due to her nude photo scandal in September 2007.
Hudgens is currently the spokeswoman for Neutrogena products and, as of September 2008, was still dating High School Musical co-star, Zac Efron.
