Magical Misery is a 1947 Donald Duck comic story.

During vacations, Donald plans to sleep at home while Huey, Dewey, and Louie spend time at Grandma Duck's house.

However, Donald's sleep is interrupted by several door-to-door salesmen, and buys what they sell to get rid of them. He gets happy when one salesman sells a periscope, so he can spy other salesmen from bed. Donald tries it on the following salesman, but trhis one sells cake decorations and shoots them from the periscope to Donald's face. Donald gets fed and that night he creates an avenger machine that will push people away unless they ring the bell exactly three times. Donald then calls Daisy and his friends to warn them.

Then, Huey, Dewey, and Louie arrive before what expected, and are "welcomed" by the avenger machine, so they have to enter by their secret tunnel. They awake their uncle, who asks them why did they return before. It turns that they sell welcome mats. Donald, sick of salesmen, follows his nephews with a branch to beat them.
