    Hi.

At the request of Elephant777, I decided to make a blog explaining why I currently have some major problems with Belle from Disney’s Beauty and the Beast. This will only cover stuff from the original theatrical release. In other words, anything that’s from sequels, midquels, prequels, or any extension media/expanded universe materials such as the DTV sequels under Eisner, the Marvel and Disney Comic Books, the Disney Princess Weddings books, the Broadway Musical, the 2017 remake, or the Disney Princess Beginnings books will be left out entirely (besides, the Disney Comics aside, all of those sort-of improved on Belle), and possibly also the Special Editions. That said, I may do initial screenplays done by Woolverton for comparison purpo…

    Hi.

With the information for the two initial drafts for Beauty and the Beast having been released, I was thinking of creating a topic discussing both drafts as well as the final version released by Disney. It will involve comparing the drafts and the final film to the original tale, whether any of them matched the intended moral of the tale, plot stuff, characterizations, and the like, and will be an ongoing process.

This draft was very faithful to the original story, and it also would have featured Belle's wicked sisters, the original villains of the fairy tale. Hi.

I was mulling over some things about the Disney Renaissance, and I actually noticed that the adaptations for various fairy tales are actually a bit darker compared to the originals. I mean, obviously, The Hunchback of Notre Dame is a contender for the darkest Disney renaissance movie that was a direct adaptation of a story, but there are others, even films that by themselves are somewhat light-hearted. The Classics often tried to tone down the darkness when making the adaptations to the fairy tales (for example, Snow White was aged up to roughly twice her age of that of the original tale to avoid implications that her stepmom was trying to off a pre-adolescent girl, not to mention she actually meets the prince far earlier than in the ori…

    Hi.

While I may be a straight male, even if autistic, I like The Little Mermaid franchise (besides, I really wouldn't call it a "girl's movie" or "girls franchise" since it featured plenty of testosterone-based action anyways). So, I decided to form a timeline on that series. Keep in mind that these are estimates based on stuff stated in various sources.

Keep in mind that the timeline will only cover stuff pre-Ariel's Beginning's release and won't cover Kingdom Hearts, obviously, especially since anything after Ariel's Beginning that specifically utilizes stuff from Ariel's Beginning is going to be excluded for reasons relating to continuity errors (Ariel's sisters were already implied to have a difference of one year each in the TV series a…
