Recess sneak peek information

I was on a Recess fansite a few years ago (the site is now dead), and I remember it saying that the show was originally previewed in primetime on August 30, 1997 on ABC before it's debut on September 13, 1997. I'm assuming that the episode previewed was the pilot/first episode, "The Break In". However, what I'm not sure about was if the episode was shown as it usually is, or the "pilot" version (Like in this preview from the 1997 VHS of 101 Dalmatians). I was only a year old when the preview was shown, so I didn't see it (or at least don't remember seeing it; my parents may or may not have been watching ABC that night). If anyone has seen it, can they please clear this information up for me? Thank you!
