    Lion King Concept Art

    September 7, 2011 by Porterfield

Check out these five pieces of concept art from the early stages of creating The Lion King. You can tell there are a couple different versions of Simba that the artists were playing around with, and Mufasa looks especially different from the final product. The initial sketch of Timon is also very interesting. He looks a lot more mischievous this way, almost villain-like, so it's probably a good thing they changed him!
