On this day in 1967, Pirates of the Caribbean debuted at Disneyland in Anaheim, California. Nearly 50 years later, it's still as popular as ever, with a film franchise and several new attractions. Among them is the first-ever Pirates-themed land and a new attraction designed for the Shanghai Disney Resort, announced by Disney chairman and CEO Bob Iger.
