This is the sequel to the Golden Lioness film. Shortly after the events of that one, Kiara gains a new brother Kion, and witnesses the return of Kopa, knocked out in an avalanche long ago and assumed dead. The film focuses on the tension between Kopa and her husband Kovu and her attempts to prevent the mistrust between them from sending the kingdom into civil war. It also features a friendship that grows between Kion and Vitani which will play a critical role in films 6 to 12. From what I am hearing, there is a lot of fan anger at the lion guard. I wont argue it was a good decision as a lot of the revelations don't make sense at all, but I am hearing calls that this series is just begging to be cancelled by some of the fans. Hello, Disney. I have an offer to make to you that could actually help the company and the planet as a whole if you consider it and accept it. I’m not really impressed with the ending of “The Lion King II: Simba’s Pride” for several reasons. The first one is the fact that the film felt like Kovu was the main protagonist and Simba was the main antagonist defacto, while dejure Kiara and Zira were the main protagonist and antagonist respectfully. For a main protagonist, Kiara is portrayed too much in a negative light, and the positive qualities of heroism, nobility, forgiveness and sympathy are shunned and this has given her a lot of haters.
