So what's the deal with the Beast/Prince's "real name" being Adam?
The film's crew mentioned in the DVD commetary that, when Belle calls him "Beast" in the climax, they'd overlooked giving the Prince an actual name; they even mentioned they put little effort in designing his human form because the audience already fell in love with his beastly form. Yet, despite that, he was called Adam in a few sparse merchandise items.
Given that the live-action Cinderella gave the title character a "real name," Ella, that was thrown around a lot in fanfiction, I'm guessing they're going to make Adam the Prince's name in the new Beauty and the Beast.Read more >

Most of the fairytale characters in the show come from fairy tales, either from folklore or books. But the last time I checked, 101 Dalmatians wasn't a fairy tale; it's a comedy-mystery. Nothing fantastic other than the animals talking to each other.
I don't exactly know how to feel about Mulan being there. It's fantasy and folklore, but its not based on a European tale like most of the others.

Somebody is censoring the non-Disney references page. I noticed that the TV Funhouse "Disney Vault" segment had been removed from its section. This came not too long after the entire Robot Chicken section and a few Family Guy moments were removed until the man responsible apologized and put them back in.
What is going on with the page? Is it that we're attacking how Disney is run? Is it demonizing the great company? Post your comments below.Read more >
