"Undercover Kinyonga" is the forty-sixth episode of the Disney Junior animated series The Lion Guard. It premiered on April 5, 2018 and is the twentieth episode in the second season.
Plot[]
The Lion Guard are at the border between the Pride Lands and the Outlands. They've sent Ono into the Outlands to spy on Scar. Ono comes back with Mzingo and Mwoga on his tail. Ono manages to elude them and escape. Ono reports that Kiburi's Float and Reirei's Pack are still in Kilio Valley but that Janja's Clan have returned to the Outlands Volcano. Suddenly, they hear Thurston's Herd panicking and running. After the Guard calms them down, Thurston tells them that what scared them this time was a talking rock, to the Guard's disbelief. Twiga comes up and tells them she had a run-in with a talking tree. Suddenly, they discover the cause of the trouble: a chameleon named Kinyonga. When she hears about how the Guard needs someone to spy on Scar, Kinyonga volunteers and heads into the Outlands.
Using her camouflage ability, Kinyonga sneaks into the Outlands. She's briefly discovered by Cheezi and Chungu, who she gets past by using her ability to take advantage of the pair's stupidity. When she arrives in the Outlands Volcano, Kinyonga hears Scar order Janja to dam Hakuna Matata Falls to increase the drought the Dry Season has caused in the Pride Lands. After Janja leaves, Kinyonga gets discovered by the skinks, who give chase. Ono discovers that Kinyonga is in trouble and the Guard sets out rescue Kinyonga, which they do by using camouflage to ambush the skinks. Kinyonga then tells the Guards what Scar has ordered Janja to do.
At Hakuna Matata Falls, the Guard ambushes Janja and his crew with camouflage. They then send the hyenas over the waterfall. Kinyonga decides to use her abilities to entertain the other animals in the Pride Lands.
