"Tricks of Our Trade" is an episode of the Disneyland television program.

Synopsis[]

Walt Disney takes a look at the technical improvements in animation, such as in more fluid animation of bodies and clothing, advanced special effects such as bubbles bursting and water splashing, and the development of the multiplane camera for a greater feeling of depth.

The episode was released on the Behind the Scenes at the Walt Disney Studios DVD set in the second wave of Walt Disney Treasures releases on December 3, 2002. An excerpt is also included as a bonus featured on the Mickey Mouse in Living Color, Volume 2 set. Footage is also featured on the Platinum Edition DVD releases of Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs and Bambi. The entire episode has also been featured on a bonus on the third disc of "Fantasia Anthology".

Trivia[]

  • The scene demonstrating a Mickey walk cycle is reused from The Pointer, with Mickey whistling the same tune, but his rifle is replaced by a fishing pole.
