Clumsy thief Amin Damoola tries to steal a gauntlet in the palace royal treasure room, but fails because of the traps. After the guards put the traps back in their places, Abu steals the gauntlet and triggers the traps again.
Aladdin gets angry at Abu for stealing the gauntlet and decides to give his friend a leash. When Abu runs away, Iago is then asked to keep an eye on the monkey. However, he talks Abu into stealing other things, such as a pastry. The two then run into Amin, who takes them to the Skull and Dagger, the headquarters of the Thieves' Guild. Amin decides to team up with Abu to steal the gauntlet in the treasure room. He puts Iago in a pot and goes with Abu to steal the gauntlet.
Meanwhile, Aladdin misses Abu and Jasmine insists that they go look for him, but Aladdin tells her that he's fine without his friend. Abu overhears this and becomes miserable. Amin makes the unhappy Abu steal the gauntlet and bring it to him so he can wear it. When Aladdin and the gang get in the treasure room, they find Abu stealing the treasure. Amin then throws a giant mace at the gang, who run away from it.
The treasure room is later empty and the gang have a feeling that somebody talked Abu into stealing the treasure and they all realize it was Iago. Aladdin goes to the Skull and Dagger to get Abu back. After Abu is reunited with Aladdin, Amin tries to destroy the gang with a building. Abu takes the gauntlet from Amin and the building falls but misses him. He is then chased by the other thieves from the Skull and Dagger. Abu is now mad at Iago for making him steal and blasts the parrot in the air with the gauntlet.
- At some point during the Skull and Dagger scene, Abu's hat appears on his head, despite the fact that he threw it at Aladdin when he was running away. This mistake happens in some other episodes where he doesn't have his hat at some point, such as "The Vapor Chase" and "Seems Like Old Crimes".
