Tim Rice

Sir Timothy Miles Bindon Rice is an English lyrist, writer, and TV and radio personality. He is best-known for his work with the legendary theater composer, Andrew Lloyd Webber, collaberating on three of Webber's most famous musicials, Joesph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, Jesus Christ Superstar, and Evita. For Disney, he helped Alan Menkin complete the music for Aladdin following the death of lyrcist Howard Ashman from AIDS in 1991, he later teamed with Menkin again to write new songs for the Beauty and the Beast Broadway musical. The following year, Rice and pop star and composer Elton John wrote the songs for The Lion King, including Can You Feel The Love Tonight which won an Acadamy Award for Best Song. Rice was named a Disney Legend in 2002.
