    • I hope the sequels have 3 things:

      1. Pinocchio II: Jiminy Cricket's Big Journey: Stars with Jiminy Cricket (voiced by Corey Burton).

      2. The Rescuers III: Miss Bianca's Adventure: Stars with Bette Midler will play Miss Bianca and Joaquin Phoenix will play Bernard and John Goodman will play Wilbur the Albatross Airlines.

      3. Who Framed Roger Rabbit 2: Stars with Roger Rabbit, Jessica Rabbit, Baby Herman, and Eddie Valiant's son, Alan Valiant played by Josh Hutcherson.

These sequels movie will explain everything. I hope you will enjoy and that is how it happened.

Frozen 2 has been announced last March, and Tangled is gonna get a tv series (it takes place between the short and the movie) which counts as a sequel instead of being a movie.

I don't think Tangled would make a good TV series... they tried to do that with How to Train your Dragon and it was terrible.

HTTYD is Dreamworks, Tangled is Disney, we can't compare those two in terms of series's style, we don't even know how Tangled will be since the last Disney series based on a movie were those of the Disney afternoon (Descendants Wicked World doesn't count since it's a live action Disney Channel movie), Disney may keep Tangled's charm in the series, and I correct my mistake, the tv series doesn't serve as a sequel, it's a MIDQUEL.

A midquel is a piece of narrative that takes place during another piece of narrative, like Beauty and the Beast: The Enchanted Christmas.

An interquel is a piece of narrative that takes place bewteen two pieces of narrative, like Kingdom Hearts: 358/2 Days.

That's an exception because there's a lot more you can do with Fantasia compared to other Disney classics. I'm not saying there aren't others that lend themselves to sequels (I actually have some hope for Frozen 2), but not a lot of them do.

    • Really any non-fairy-tale Walt Disney Animation Studios movie that hasn't already received a direct-to-video sequel and has not been entirely lost to history and/or deemed unimpressive by audiences by and large. I'm not against Disney's trademark fairy tales, but given what their sequels have done more often than not, I haven't hyped myself up for things like Frozen 2. If they can actually find a way for it to build on the first and seem like a part of a greater story rather than just respond to the pop culture sensation of the film, then I may change my mind. Sequels to Atlantis: The Lost Empire, Treasure Planet, Wreck-It Ralph, Big Hero 6, and Zootopia are what I would want the most, but sequels to the first two on my list are not going to happen because of how Disney seems ashamed of them due to their lower box offices grossses than most of their other films, and seems to just want to keep them on Netflix. If this news hasn't been passed around the wiki yet, an animated TV series based on Big Hero 6 is due out on Disney XD in 2017, and is being creatively developed by the team that made Kim Possible. If sequels to Wreck-It Ralph and Zootopia can't be made, perhaps Disney XD cartoons are the preferred option. The Wreck-It Ralph one would probably be pretty expensive to produce, however, given the desire to include real and licensed video game characters alongside the original arcade ones, but I think it's worth trying.

Yes, a lot of DTV sequels ruined their first movie. DisneyToon Studios stopped making them because of that and because they're losing money.

Thank God WDAS decided to make canon sequels: Frozen 2, Wreck-It Ralph 2 and hopefully Zootopia 2.

Tangled 2 exists, right? It was a short where they showed Rapunzel and Eugene got married. At least, I think it was called Tangled 2.
      You mean Tangled Ever After?
      I can see that. :)

Yes, the Tangled TV series is a midquel. It takes place after the film, but before the short. Meaning, Rapunzel and Eugene are not married yet, but "probably" engaged.

Nope, a midquel. Like Bambi 2, The Lion King 3, Tarzan 2.. ect

A work that is set during the timeframe of previous works, rather than before or after them.

Oh yes you're right. Sorry for my mistake 😣. It's because the page has been false for a long time, as the TV series was said to be a midquel. I just noticed that someone erased the false information. Sorry again.

    • The Little Mermaid 4 (as a follow up to 1 and 2) - I'd like to see Eric and Melody as merfolks and Ariel's sisters as humans. Barefoot scenes would be the icing on the cake.

Tarzan 3 - It would be great to see Tarzan's kid as either son or daughter, not to mention Jane's friends, Eleanor, Greenly and Hazel. They'd look good in swimsuits.

    • Pinocchio got an unofficial sequel. It'd be cool to see a Disney sequel, and thus can use Honest John, but of course given Disney's latest trend for not killing the villain, the best we can hope for is for him to get imprisoned. And either way Disney doesn't do the 2D animation anymore, though they could pull a Swan Princess

    • Ok negative nancy in the room, A, disney has had a long reputation of having straight to Dvd sequels and the animation, when not done by the same crew, is awful just horrible, (generalizing here) but wreck it ralph is going to be the movie that breaks that trend since its the first DISNEY sequel to be featured on the big screen. Anyway, sequals also have more problems such as,

      Different voice actors

A really crappy under developed love interest

      continuity issues

      and other things like that

I like to nitpick sometimes so point that out to me and I'll fix future ones

I've never found any real drive to explore the world of Zootopia since the movie is about figuring out why "predetors" are acting predetorial while traversing through each biome and the city of zootopia is "international" so to speak. Also a show of any kind needs a driving story what do you think could be a story? (no seriously I would like to hear what you have it could be interesting) Umm... yeah,so personally I dont think there could be much ofcourse unless you decide to go for racial segregations or racism or would it be speciesism....anyway where different natural biomes have different cultures and they clash with others I mean who knows they some could go to war with eachother but I digress. Personally I would like to explore Bunnieburrow. I'd like to hear your thoughts.

    • Now, genrally speaking Disney and not just Disney has historically had terrible direct to DVD sequels either because of a different animation crew (Insert Tarzan and Jane here-) a different cast which is the worst I mean do you remember the va for eric in TLM2 egh! Or a lower budget. However, with the new-ish CGI age coming around the corner it's less noticeable. I am up for a sequel to Herc. but another issue comes in... Story,(insert Tarzan and Jane here-) while all the others play curcial parts a movie let alone any fictional story cannot survive if it has sh*tty writing. Love interest sequels are usually written badly because of a dry deuteragonist aka said love interest or for reason already said. Sequels that play on backstory to much are also terrible more in general movies where nothing really happens (insert Tarzan and Jane here-). However the movies that get it right such as TLM3-ish and Beuaty and the Beast Enchanted Christmas (with some polish and smoothing out the edges) are great and the Snow Queen 3 while not Disney I think, definitely a step from the "midquel?" IDEKA... Anyway like I said yada yada yada and period.

Not excited for Frozen 2. Leave yo thoughts.
