"The Whole World Wants to Wish You Happy Birthday, Mickey Mouse" is a song written in honor of Mickey Mouse's 50th birthday in 1978.

It was heard as the finale to the TV special Mickey's 50 and was also heard in a special parade honoring Mickey's 50th at Disneyland and Walt Disney World, mixed in with the song "(Hey Ra Ra Ra) Happy Birthday, Mickey Mouse)". The first verse of the song was heard in the 1988 TV special Walt Disney World's 4th of July Spectacular for a segment honoring Mickey's 60th birthday, in which the word "fifty" was changed to "sixty".

Lyrics

The whole world wants to wish you happy birthday, Mickey Mouse
Everybody wants to toast you with a song
The whole world wants to wish you happy birthday, Mickey Mouse
Listen while your friends all join and sing along
Well it isn't very hard to understand what all the shoutin' is for
Just want you to know that we love you and we wish you fifty birthdays more
People everywhere are saying thank you, Mickey Mouse
For all of the troubled times you helped us through
It may seem strange to say this 'cause you're such a little mouse
This world needs a lot more men like you
This crazy world's a-changin' every day, you know it's true
But everything's gonna be okay, 'cause we can still depend on you
The whole world wants to wish you happy birthday, Mickey Mouse
Everybody wants to toast you with a song
The whole world wants to wish you happy birthday, Mickey Mouse
Listen while your friends all join and sing along
The whole world wants to wish you happy birthday, Mickey Mouse
Everybody wants to sing your birthday song
