The Sorcerer's Apprentice is a 1974 Disney's Wonderful World of Reading storybook based on "The Sorcerer's Apprentice" segment from Fantasia.


Mickey Mouse is an apprentice to a sorcerer and he want to learn the craft. When his master leaves, Mickey tries on his magic hat and brings a broom to life to do all his chores. But when the broom starts to flood the place with his work, Mickey chops the broom up with an ax, which backfires when the pieces become more brooms. Just as Mickey's mess gets out of hand, the sorcerer returns and undoes everything with his magic, then reminding Mickey "Don't start what you can't finish".
