"The Sellout" is the 11th episode of the fourth season of Pepper Ann. It aired on February 13, 2000.
Synopsis[]
Nicky regrets giving her last ticket to an upcoming Flaming Snot concert to Pepper Ann, and the ensuing fight tears apart their friendship.
Plot[]
Pepper Ann, Milo and Nicky feel that they have not hung out in a long time and wait in line to get tickets to a Flaming Snot concert. Milo and Nicky end up getting the last two tickets before they are sold out, leaving Pepper Ann devastated. She goes to Lydia to ask Mick Snot, whom she knew as Harry Schitzel in college, but supposedly gets into an argument and hangs up on him. Having lost all hope of getting a ticket, Nicky politely offers her ticket to Pepper Ann as she is a bigger fan. Almost reluctantly she accepts, but Nicky immediately feels regret.
Nicky becomes curt with Pepper Ann who offers to give it back, but she angrily refuses. Milo decides to take the ticket instead and offer it to Gwen. However, Pepper Ann and Nicky botch Milo's affectionate attempt at offering it and snag the ticket, only for the two of them to get into an argument of who is going to have it. As all three friends argue, Dieter comes by and Milo and Nicky give both tickets to him; leaving all three ticketless. Pepper Ann lies in bed and begins to reminisce about her friends, ultimately choosing them over the tickets.
The next day, Pepper Ann apologizes to Milo and Nicky for being selfish and wants to go back to being friends, but they reveal to still be adamant about getting their tickets back from Dieter and all three try to bribe him. Stressed by them, Dieter tosses the tickets down the garbage chute where they are found by Ernie the Janitor, who offers one to his friend. Pepper Ann, Milo and Nicky admit that they were turning into monsters and resume their friendship with each other. Meanwhile, Lydia has left numerous angry messages on Mick's answering machine.

- Gwen is shown to be slightly better at reciprocating Milo's affection, that is until Pepper Ann and Nicky ruin it for him.
- A flashback reveals that Pepper Ann and Nicky gave Milo his hat for his birthday. This contradicts the episode "Crunch Pod" where he claims that he found it in a dumpster and later in "The Way They Were" where Nicky used to wear it before giving it to him.
