"The Robot Thief" is the second segment of the forty-third episode of Miles from Tomorrowland. It premiered on November 5, 2016 alongside "Blackout on Bloppsburgh", and is the second segment of the thirteenth episode in the second season.

Plot[]

Miles and his fellow Cosmic Explorers are on their first official mission for the Tomorrowland Transit Authority and if they succeed, they will earn TTA Mission Holo-badges. Loretta, Blodger, and Mirandos are hoping that the mission is something exciting. Phoebe and Leo tell the troop that they are in orbit around the Planet Conmentum where Admirals Watson and Crick will give them their mission. When they arrive, they are greeted by the admirals and are given their mission, which involves delivering a quartet of TTA construction robots to the Planet Alarbus so they can build a new hotel. The Cosmic Explorers are not thrilled after learning that they cannot do anything other than clean the robots, but promise to bring the robots safely.

Unknownst to them, Dashiell Scamp the Space Trader and his robot sidekick Dalton are spying on them, ready to do some "trading", and they pursue the troop in their escape pod. After cleaning the robots, the kids order the robot to do silly things. However, Scamp invades the ship, trades the bots for a worthless Newton's Ball sculpture, and destroys the com unit so they will not call the Space Guard. Loretta tries calling the Space Guard on him but they are out of Questcom range, and with the ship on autopilot, they cannot go after him. Miles feels bad about messing up the mission, but his fellow troops remind him of their promise to the admirals. Miles then comes up with a plan involving Loretta and Mirandos shutting down the autopilot and Blodger gives him the idea of following a heat trail from Scamp's escape pod. With the autopilot off, the troop goes after the Space Trader.

They land on Planet Kyrillos and follow Scamp's trail into a cave. They find the bots building a new starship for Scamp that looks like his old one. This is a job that Dalton is not happy about while Scamp takes a nap. Miles comes up with a plan to rescue the robots involving Mirandos using her Calibandroid to make holograms of the robots. After Mirandos scans the robots to make the holograms, Loretta and Blodger order the robots to follow them. After sneaking aboard the ship, Miles and M.E.R.C activate the com unit and call the Space Guard. Miles tells Lieutenant Luminix of Scamp's crime. Outside the ship, Mirandos' holograms do not last long as the battery on her Calibandroid is running out. Dalton wakes up Scamp to warn him. Luminex tells Miles to get everyone to safety while the Space Guard handles Scamp. The Space Trader catches Miles and M.E.R.C. "causing trouble" and Miles escapes. Scamp decides to take his ship, even though it is not finished, to escape the Space Guard. The Cosmic Explorers then leave Kyrillos and continue their mission.

When they arrive on Alarbus, the troop delivers the robots and meet up with the Admirals and their parents. The Admirals are proud of the troops of them for completing the mission and present them with their TTA Mission holo-badges.
