Monkees

The Monkees are an American-British pop group that released music under their original incarnation between 1966 and 1970, with subsequent reunion albums and tours in the decades that followed. They, along with Annette Funicello sang the opening Theme song of The Monkey's Uncle. The band was spoofed on Muppets Tonight as The Benedictine Monkees. Bandmember Micky Dolenz also appeared in episode 105, performing one of the band's hit songs, "I'm a Believer," with Bobo the Bear. In episode 205 of Muppets Tonight!, Ernst Stavros Grouper uses examples to show Kermit why monkeys are in and frogs are out. One of them is "Hey, hey we're The Froggies and people say we Froggy around." The Schoolhouse Rock! song: "A Noun is a Person, Place or Thing" references this band.
