The Godi  is the main antagonist in The Island at the Top of the World. He didn't trusted Professor Ivarsson, Sir Anthony Ross or his son Donald to protect Astragard. To protect he wanted them killed immediatley, But they escaped from the burning at stake, so the Godi setted up a search party to kill them. She shot an flaming arrow at the Hyperion where the gang were but they escaped and the burning Hyperion landed on the Godi therefore killing him
