The Caseyettes are an all-girls baseball team consisting of the nine daughters of the famous baseball player, Casey, and his wife (who's known only as "Mrs. Casey").

Biography[]

After his infamous strikeout at the end of his baseball career, Mrs. Casey reveals that she's pregnant with their first child. Casey's excited by this, especially since, if the baby ends up being a boy, he could groom his potential-son into following in his footsteps (and hopefully redeem his reputation) as a baseball player.

Over the course of at least six different pregnancies, Casey and his wife have a total of nine children, which includes one pair of twins and even a set of triplets. But much to Casey's (at least initial) dismay, all nine of his kids end up being girls. At one point, while out on the town with his daughters, Casey sees the doctor who delivered them and almost beats him up, but the doctor manages to get out of there in time and the girls are forced to (literally) drag "their poor old daddy" back home.

However, all nine of Casey's daughters prove to be just as good at baseball as their dad (if not better), and Casey's old friends/teammates all point out to him that his daughters could follow in his footsteps and potentially redeem his reputation as a baseball player. Realizing this, Casey forms an all-girls baseball team consisting of his daughters, now known as "The Caseyettes."

Patsy (the oldest of Casey's daughters) appears to be the best player on the team and is the one who ultimately wins the big game that she and her sisters play in during Casey Bats Again, ultimately redeeming their dad's reputation.

Physical Appearance[]

All nine of Casey's daughters look identical to his wife, with the only real differences between the nine sisters being their hairstyles and their heights.

The sisters' heights also seem to indicate their ages -- for example, Patsy (Casey's oldest daughters) is tallest of her sisters while Colleen (Casey's youngest daughter) is the shortest of her sisters.

Personality & Abilities[]

The girls all appear to be very friendly and sweet-natured and get along well with each other. They also clearly love their father and look up to him.

Just like their dad, the Caseyettes are excellent baseball players, which is first shown when they're doing chores around the house they live in with their parents, and they do the housework in a way that's as if they're playing in a baseball game. This is what ultimately leads to Casey forming a baseball team consisting of his daughters.

When it comes to baseball, Patsy appears to be the best at it, which her sisters acknowledge, because during the Female Championship Game in Casey Bats Again, Patsy's younger sisters were all confident that she'd be able to win the game for them (at the time, they down by a single point against the visiting team).

Aside from their interest in baseball, the Caseyettes also seem to have traditionally girly interests -- this can be shown during the game they're competing in during Casey Bats Again, when Peg's shown applying some makeup to her face when she's on second, Jan's putting flowers in her hair while on third base and the twins are shown (seemingly) flirting with a boy in the stands who's sharing his popcorn with them.

Trivia[]

  • Four of the nine daughters' names are never revealed -- these are both of the twins (the second- and third-from-oldest daughters), the second-youngest daughter and the third-from-youngest daughter.
