Lyrics[]
Though money may be the root of all evil
Money, it might not buy you love
Money won't bring you happiness,
Or grow your hair,
Or kill your stress,
Or get you to the pearly gates above
But there's a bunch of things that money can do
Put a shirt on your back and a shine on your shoe
When the cash shows up, I don't say "boo",
I take the money and run
Love can't buy a fancy car or fill your tank
If you want the finer things, you've got to break the bank
But there's one sure thing that money can do,
Put the pedal to the metal when the income's due
When the money shows up, baby, don't say "Boo",
Take the money and run
(Spoken: You know, they're saying that money can't buy love. Money don't get you stuff that is so close to love that you won't know the difference. I love money. I love my pockets to jingle. That's the way it is when you're single! Okay, so I love cash. Want my wallet to be fat. Like the rest of me. While money can put me on the road to the promised land. I want money with me at all times)
`Cos love can't buy a fancy car or fill your tank
If you want the finer things, you gotta break the bank
`Cos if there's one sure thing that money can do,
Put the pedal to the metal when the income's due
When the money shows up, baby, don't say "boo",
Take the money and run
Oh yeah,
Take the money and run
Go man,
Grab your stash, get your cash, we're gonna have a bash!
Take the money and run!
