Stan Lee (born Stanley Martin Lieber; December 28, 1922) is an American comic book writer, editor, publisher, media producer, television host, actor, and former president and chairman of Marvel Comics. Due to his longtime association with Marvel Comics, Stan Lee cameos in most post-2000 movies based on Marvel comics. In non-Disney productions, he cameoed in X-Men, Spider-Man, Daredevil, Hulk, Spider-Man 2, Fantastic Four, X-Men: The Last Stand, Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer (in which he portrays himself), Iron Man, The Incredible Hulk, Captain America: The First Avenger, Thor, The Amazing Spider-Man and The Amazing Spider-Man 2. In Disney productions, he cameos in The Avengers, Iron Man 3, Thor: The Dark World, Captain America: The Winter Soldier, Guardians of the Galaxy, Big Hero 6, Avengers: Age of Ultron and Ant-Man. His cameo in Big Hero 6 is especially relevant as he plays Fred's father. He is set to cameo in Doctor Strange, Black Panther, Thor: Ragnarok, Spider-Man, Avengers: Infinity War, Part 1, Avengers: Infinity War, Part 2, Captain Marvel, Inhumans, and the non-Disney movie The Fantastic Four.
Lee's cameos in the above films are significant in that he is the credited creator or co-creator of virtually all of the major Marvel characters featured in both Disney and non-Disney films, his association with Marvel having dated back to its earliest days in the early 1940s.
He also cameos in TV shows and TV movies based on Marvel comics. In non-Disney TV shows and TV Movies, he was the narrator in the 1982 Incredible Hulk cartoon show and in Spider-Man and his Amazing Friends, and he cameoed in Spider-Man: The Animated Series, The Incredible Hulk: The Animated Series, Trial of the Incredible Hulk, Spider-Man: The New Animated Series, The Spectacular Spider-Man, Black Panther, and had a mayor role as the Mayor of Super Hero City in The Super Hero Squad Show. In Disney TV-shows and TV movies, he appeared in Phineas and Ferb: Mission Marvel (reprising his role as the hot dog vendor from X-Men), Ultimate Spider-Man (where he replaced Phil Coulson as principal of Midtown High after Coulson was made the star of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.), Hulk and the Agents of S.M.A.S.H., Avengers Assemble, Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. and Agent Carter .
He also made a cameo in The Princess Diaries 2: Royal Engagement, despite that movie not being based on a Marvel Comic.
