Appearances[]

The Adventures of Ichabod and Mr. Toad[]

Sleepy Hollow, described as a quiet, peaceful town, albeit abounding in ghostly folklore, is the primary setting of the segment. It is first seen as Ichabod Crane, a queer tall person arrives at the town, greatly intriguing the town, Crane becoming the schoolmaster of the school, him hosting choral sessions on Tuesdays with the female locals.

At the village arriving, intriguing the town (including Brom Bones and Ichabod) is Katrina Van Tassel, the daughter of Baltus Van Tassel with the men trying to impress her. Ichabod becoming rather interested, focusing less and less to his school duties. Brom is shown as the only threat to Crane getting Katrina, both of them fighting over her, Ichabod seeming to have won.

One Halloween, old Baltus Van Tassel hosts a Halloween party, the whole town invited, with Ichabod and Brom continuing to fight. Brom, Crane seeming to win decides to tell a story about the Headless Horseman, terrifying the schoolmaster.

After the party, Ichabod is returning home, seeming saddened (it is possible that Katrina did reject him for Brom) yet as he and his horse are returning home the Headless Horseman appears, pursuing them and Crane is last seen as a pumpkin flies to his head, across The Bridge (Bones telling him that if he crossed the Bridge the Horseman's power ends). After Ichabod's disappearance, Katrina marries Brom and now Ichabod has become a legend, Crane believed to have been spirited away by the Horseman.
