Sharpay Evans is a character played by Ashley Tisdale in the Disney Channel Original Movie, High School Musical. She is one of the main characters in the movie, along with Troy Bolton, Gabriella Montez, and Ryan Evans. She and her brother, Ryan, are East High's "singing stars" and have starred in all the school's musical productions. She becomes rivals with Gabriella Montez, who becomes Troy Bolton's best friend. The pair (Ryan and Sharpay) end up not singing in that year's musical production; Troy and Gabriella do. Sharpay is also a character in the movie's sequel, High School Musical 2. In High School Musical 3, Sharpay makes a new rival with the new girl, Tiara Gold, who was a London schoolgirl who transfered to East High and was at first Sharpay's assistant. Then, it turned out that her scool was the London school for performing arts. Sharpay will be returning to East High to help Mrs. Darbus run the Drama department. She is rich and snobby!!
