Saoirse Una Ronan is an Irish-American actress, who is best known for her role as the 13-year-old Briony Tallis in Joe Wright's 2007 romantic drama war film Atonement, for which she nabbed a nomination for Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress (making Ronan the seventh-youngest nominee to be nominated for an Academy Award at the age of 13).

Ronan played Susie Salmon in Peter Jackson's 2009 supernatural drama film The Lovely Bones, as well as her critically-acclaimed roles in the 2015 romantic period drama film Brooklyn, Greta Gerwig's 2017 coming-of-age dramedy film Lady Bird, and as Jo March in Gerwig's 2019 coming-of-age period drama film Little Women, of which the three aforementioned films garnered Ronan three acting nominations for an Academy Award for Best Actress.

For Disney, she appeared as herself in a cameo dancing during the Dance of the Sugar Plums skit with The Mutations in Dublin, Ireland in the 2014 musical comedy film Muppets Most Wanted. She also voiced Arrietty in the 2011 Studio Ghibli's UK dub version of The Secret World of Arrietty and played Principal Showgirl in Wes Anderson's 2021 Disney/Searchlight Pictures anthology comedy-drama film The French Dispatch.
