Samuel M. "Sam" Raimi (born October 23, 1959) is an American film director, producer, writer, and actor, best known for directing the horror trilogy of The Evil Dead, the 1990 superhero film Darkman, and the original Spider-Man film series.

For Disney, he directed the 2013 film, Oz the Great and Powerful and played Stick Coder in the 1993 Touchstone Pictures film Indian Summer. He voices a Giant Squirrel in The Jungle Book.
