Roy Bean is a historical character who appears in The Prisoner of White Agony Creek.

He, Bat Masterson and Wyatt Earp go to the Klondyke to rescue Glittering Goldie from Scrooge McDuck, but it she doesn't want to be rescued - at least not until after she steals Scrooge's gold nugget. The judge is particularly stoic and considers almost everything a hanging-deserving offense.

Scrooge defeats the three men, but while he's busy saving Goldie from Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid, Bean and company try to ambush him in his cabin, which they manage thanks to Goldie giving a distracting kiss to Scrooge. When Goldie has a change of heart and returns with Scrooge, the judge tells the other two lawmen not to intervene, as what happens in that cabin is not a hanging offense and they should leave the two ducks alone.
