Ross Shor Lynch (born December 29, 1995) is an American teen actor, singer, musician, and dancer who is known for his role as Austin Moon on the Disney Channel sitcom Austin & Ally.
History
Ross is currently in a band with his older siblings and family friend, Ellington Ratliff. The band is called R5 and they released their first EP Ready Set Rock in 2011 on iTunes, which was taken down shortly after Ross became famous through Austin & Ally. They also released the single "Say You'll Stay" in 2011. They released LOUD in February 2013 and their debut album Louder in September. Ross began acting in 2010 when he starred in three short films, Grapple, A Day As Holly's Kids and Queen Of The Hammer. He later auditioned for the role of Austin Moon in early 2011. Ross also starred in the 2013 Disney Channel Original Movie, Teen Beach Movie as Brady, and also voiced Werewolf by Night in the Ultimate Spider-Man episode "Blade and the Howling Commandos". Ross has said he wants to do Austin & Ally for at least four seasons. He also appeared in a cameo in the 2014 Disney film Muppets Most Wanted. He hosted a Disney Channel on the Set segment showing a behind the scenes look at the film, and also made a cameo appearance in a Muppisode (standing in the line for a food truck in the "Food Fight" video).
