Ronald N. "Ron" Perlman (born April 13, 1950) is an American actor and voice actor who is best known for his collaborations with Guillermo del Toro, which included starring as the titular protagonist in the 2004 supernatural superhero film Hellboy and its 2008 sequel Hellboy II: The Golden Army, Hannibal Chau in the 2013 science-fiction monster film Pacific Rim, and Konstantine Konali in Police Academy 7. He is also best known for his voice role as Slade on the Cartoon Network animated series Teen Titans from 2003 to 2006 and currently stars as Clay Morrow on the FX crime drama series Sons of Anarchy from 2008 to 2013.
He has done several voice roles for Disney.
- Ron was originally considered for the role of Ego in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, but at the end, Kurt Russell was cast instead.
- He was considered for the role of Judge Doom in Who Framed Roger Rabbit along with Tim Curry, John Cleese, Christopher Lee, Roddy McDowall, Robin Williams, Eddie Deezen, Sting, Jon Pertwee, John Lithgow, Willem Dafoe, John Malkovich, Gabriel Byrne, Tim Robbins, Michael Keaton, Alec Baldwin, Richard Gere, Dustin Hoffman, Robert De Niro, Al Pacino, and Jeff Goldblum.
