Richard Starkey (born July 7, 1940), known profesionally as Ringo Starr, is an English drummer, singer, songwriter and actor who was best known for his time as a member as the drummer of the 1960s rock band The Beatles, and is best known for narrating the long-running children's television series Thomas & Friends in the UK (and formerly the US) from 1984 to 1986, and for portraying Mr. Conductor on Shining Time Station for Season 1.

He appeared in a February 2008 Disney Xtreme Digital video with Kermit the Frog and Pepe the King Prawn during the Muppets' coverage of the Grammy Awards ceremony.
