Laura Jeanne Reese Witherspoon (born March 22, 1976), professionally known as Reese Witherspoon, is an American actress and film and television producer who played Nonnie Parker in the 1993 Disney film A Far Off Place, and Melanie Smooter in the 2002 Touchstone Pictures film Sweet Home Alabama. She was also at one point going to voice Rapunzel in Tangled, but left the project,[1] and was considered for Princess Merida in Brave, but turned it down due to scheduling conflicts.[2]

She will star in and produce the upcoming film Tink. Witherspoon was also celebrity guest on ABC's The Muppets episode "Walk the Swine". She will portray Mrs. Who in A Wrinkle in Time.
