Ray the Sun is occasionally seen in the TV show Bear in the Big Blue House. He is sometimes seen at the start of some episodes and sings the "Good Morning" song with Bear. He speaks with an Trinidadian accent. Ray usually appears as a background character in the Woodland Valley series. Ray was voiced by the late Geoffrey Holder and performed by puppeteer Peter Linz.
Appearances[]
Whereas Bear talks with Luna every night before going to bed, Bear is only occasionally seen talking with Ray. They are still very good friends, though. Like Luna, Ray his own song, "Good Morning."
Ray states that his outlook is always sunny. He sometimes talks with Bear about what the weather is going to be like, and the two often share opening thoughts for the day.
Ray is seen much more often in the fourth season of the show, even when Bear isn't talking to him. His appearance is changed as well, giving him eyes and generally looking like a male version of Luna. He is also added to the opening and closing sequences. This redesign was also used in "Bear in the Big Blue House Live: Surprise Party."
