Rafiki's Stick serves as a walking stick for Rafiki, as well as a weapon though more often he uses it to smack someone over the head.
In the TV series, Timon and Pumbaa, in an episode called "Rafiki's Apprentice" Rafiki's walking stick is portrayed as a magical staff with which Rafiki's nephew Nefu (Neh-foo) messes with to accomplish a chore his uncle tasked him with, until things spiral out of control and Rafiki steps in to right Nefu's wrong.
In this episode, Rafiki is also revealed to own many more similar sticks as back-ups and gives the original one to Nefu once he's learned his lesson.Rafiki's stick in the musical is made of carbon fibre.Instead of having 3-4 gourds,
it has been simplefied to one gourd. The stick is much bigger than its holder/user.
Powers Rafiki's walking stick is portrayed as enchanting objects (like a branch to work like a fan or trees to move of heir own accord), controlling the forces of nature, calling down lightning, dispelling magical forces.
