Professor Emelius Brown is the secondary protagonist in Bedknobs and Broomsticks. Brown was played by David Tomlinson, who is a legend in Disney by playing George Banks in Mary Poppins and Peter Thorndyke in The Love Bug.

Bedknobs and Broomsticks

He was Miss Eglantine Price's magic teacher and headmaster of the Collasponded College of Witchcraft, London, but because of the War he had to close down the college so that means Miss Price couldn't get the Substitutionary Locomotion Spell. When Miss Price and Carrie, Charles and Paul got to London they found Professor Brown as a Magic salesman. After being turned into a rabbit, he told her that he got the spells from the Spells of Astoroth and decided to make a deal with her, if she helps him with business, he'll help him find the spell. After facing a villainous Bookman, coaching the soccer game on the Isle of Naboobu, they finally found the spell, it the first time wasn't a success. Than, he decided to leave, but went back to help because of the Nazis. In the end, he joined the British Army, because he said "The way things are, it's much too dangerous being a civilian". And so he left with a wave and kiss to Miss Price Good-Bye.
