Running GagsEdit

I know what we're gonna do todayEdit

"You know, if we had two Perrys, we could put a net between them and play platypult badminton," Phineas realized. "Ferb, that's it! I know what we're gonna do today!"
"Ferb, I know what we're gonna do today!" Phineas exclaimed.

The "Too Young" LineEdit

Ferb's LinesEdit

"What would you even name a platypus?" Candace asked.
"Bartholomew!" Phineas suggested.
"Bartholomew!" echoed Ferb.
"You're evil?" Phineas asked incredulously. He turned to Agent P. "He's evil! So, not only have you been leading a double life this whole time, but you sat there and let us help an evil scientist open an evil portal into an evil dimension. And you did nothing to stop us!"
"Well, he did pee on the couch," Ferb spoke up.
"Well, we've got a lot of great days, but we only have one Perry," Ferb told him.

Whatcha doin'?Edit

"Hi, Phineas!" their friend, Isabella Garcia-Shapiro, called out as she strolled into the backyard. "Whatcha doin'?"
"Whatcha doin'?" Isabella-2 growled in a though voice.

"Isabella!" Phineas exclaimed.

"Do I know you?" she asked.

Perry's entrance to his lairEdit

What the gang didn't know was that Perry was hiding in the backyard and had thrown a pebble across the yard to distract them. And there was something else they didn't know: behind his cover as a friendly pet, Perry was actually a secret agent! From his code name [Agent P] to his fedora, this fearless platypus had dedicated his life to fighting evil in all forms--most especially in the form of Dr. Doofenshmirtz, whose sinister plots put the entire Tri-State Area in danger.
With the group distracted, Agent P made his move, zipping across the yard into a secret entrance to his underground lair. He landed on his chair as the large view screen crackled to life. An image of Major Monogram, the commander of the agency that Perry worked for, suddenly appeared onscreen.
The locket led them to a picture hanging on the wall. When Phineas moved it, he discovered that there was hole behind it.

"Shall we?" Phineas asked excitedly.
Phineas and Ferb crawled through the hole and dropped right into Agent P's chair--in the middle of his secret chamber!

"This must be Perry's lair," Phineas realized.

Hey, where's Perry?Edit

"Okay, everyone," Phineas announced a little later. "I think the tail is all set. I'll just go check with the foreman."
Phineas glanced around, but he didn't see Perry anywhere.
"He's gone," Isabella realized.
"Hey, where's Perry?" Phineas asked with a frown. "Did he really slip away? On his anniversary? Sometimes it seems like Perry has missed every single cool thing we've done all summer long!" He shrugged his shoulders. "I guess he can do whatever he wants. After all, it's his day, right?"

Memorable QuotesEdit

Chapter 1Edit

"Come on, kids!" their dad had encouraged them. "Pick out any pet you want!"
"Oh, look, Phineas," their mom said. "This one's looking at you!"
"And this one's looking at you, Ferb," their dad added, pointing to an animal in a cage.
"Why won't anything look at me?" whined the boys' older sister, Candace Flynn.
"What would you even name a platypus?" Candace asked.
"Bartholomew!" Phineas suggested.
"Bartholomew!" echoed Ferb.
But the platypus wasn't quite so enthusiastic about that name. He made a strange sound in response.
In the living room, Phineas snapped back to reality and leaned down to pet Perry. "And then when we got you home, we renamed you Perry . . . and got you this locket," he recalled. Phineas opened it to reveal photos of Phineas, Ferb, and their pet. "Look how young we all were!"
"Oh, yes, sport fans, that may be the best hit ever in the history of platypult baseball!" Phineas cheered. "And the crowd exhales loudly through their mouths! And Fletcher snags the pop fly . . . he's out!"

Chapter 2Edit

"The irony is, that as a grown-up, you don't need to tell your mom," Stacy pointed out. "You can just bust them yourself."
Candace's whole face lit up. "That's it!" she exclaimed. "Stacy, I'm old enough to bust them myself!"
"That's what I just said," Stacy replied.
"I'm Dr. Heinz Doofenshmirtz, but my friends call me . . ." Dr. Doofenshmirtz's voice trailed off as he realized that he didn't have any friends. He sighed again. "I just got in such a funk."
