Patrick Galen Dempsey (born January 13, 1966) is an American actor who is best known for his role as Derek Shepherd on the ABC medical drama series Grey's Anatomy from 2005 to 2015.
He voiced Kenai in the 2006 Disney direct-to-DVD film Brother Bear 2 (replacing Joaquin Phoenix) and played Robert Philip in the 2007 Disney film Enchanted. He also played Andrew Hennings, in the 2002 Touchstone Pictures film Sweet Home Alabama, Charlie Farrow in Run and Ronald Miller in Can't Buy Me Love, and Kellin Taylor in the 1986 The Disney Sunday Movie telefilm, A Fighting Choice. He was mentioned in the The Muppets episode Pig's in a Blackout.
