The Pangani Forest Exploration Trails is a walkway attraction at Disney's Animal Kingdom at the Walt Disney World in Florida. It is located at Africa next to the Kilimanjaro Safaris attraction where guests can see African animals. It is about three-eights of a mile in length. In most of the exhibits, there are "research students" positioned at most locations to give you information about the animals and answer questions.
The attraction was originally known as Gorilla Falls Exploration Trail but the name was changed in August 1998.
According to Disney Legend, Pangani Forest Exploration Trail was originally a hunting trail during the Dutch rule over Harambe, after Harambe was self-governed, it was turned into a wildlife preserve. Additionally, a king's tomb can be found on the trail, hinting Harambe once had a monarch-like government.
