The Outlands is the name of a setting that featured in The Lion King II: Simba's Pride.

BackgroundEdit

The Outlands were located somewhere beyond the borders of the Pride Lands. The area was mostly a barren wasteland. A giant termite mound located here, however, was the home of Zira and the Outsiders, who came here after their banishment from the Pride Lands. It is unknown if the Outsiders received their name because they lived here, or whether the Outlands were named after the Outsiders. However, according to Zira, conditions were less than ideal, as the Outlands possessed little food or water. Kiara was caught by Simba after wandering out there, when she actually wasn't supposed to.

At the end of the film, the Outsiders returned to the Pride Lands, realizing how pointless it was to continue fighting, and possibly leaving the Outlands vacant.
