Synopsis[]

Flaps and three mice steal Dumbo's flag from the Toon Museum. Bonkers adopts the three mice as pets, while Miranda arrests Flaps. Bonkers endures their abuse, as they endure his embarrassing welfare. The mice soon turn against Flaps and reform for their crimes.

Trivia[]

  • The title parodies that of the John Steinbeck novel Of Mice and Men.
  • Flaps's mouse henchmen Meenie, Minie, and Moe are parodies of The Three Stooges.
  • For some reason, The Magic Feather from the movie was changed to a Flag. The same one Dumbo has in the Pyramid of Elephants scene in the movie.
  • When Bonkers dresses the three mice as Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse, he leaves two of them as Mickey and one of them as Minnie as he replies, "Sorry, no more Mickeys, but Minnie's even cuter." One of the mice dressed as Minnie takes Minnie's red and white polka dotted bow off of his head before trying to leave.
  • The mice are watching Darkwing Duck when Bonkers gets struck by lightning/
  • Steamboat Willie's steering wheel appears at the beginning of the episode. There is also a picture with the iconic scene of Steamboat Willie Mickey driving the boat on it. There is also Lady and the Tramp's spaghetti with Flaps replying, "And paydirt!" Along with a picture with the iconic scene of Lady and Tramp eating spaghetti on it. Dumbo's flag that appears at the end of the film with a picture of Timothy Mouse giving him his flag.
  • Chernabog (from Fantasia), Greasy (from Who Framed Roger Rabbit), Honest John (from Pinocchio), and Shere Khan (from The Jungle Book, in his TaleSpin attire) make a cameo in this episode. They appear in a couple of mugshots on a computer, implying that they are a criminals in the series.
  • The shot of Bonkers eyes popping out was used in the opening.
