Natalie Portman (born Neta-Lee Hershlag; Hebrew: נטע-לי הֵרְשְׁלַג) is an actress who bears dual American and Israeli citizenship.
She is best known for portraying Padmé Amidala in the Star Wars prequel trilogy. She also played Jane Foster in the Marvel film Thor, and had a brief cameo in the 2012 film The Avengers. She reprised her role in the 2013 film Thor: The Dark World.
- Portman was originally considered for the role of Black Widow in Iron Man 2, but at the end, Scarlett Johansson was cast instead. However, she ended up being cast as Jane Foster in Thor.
