Minnie's Yoo Hoo
is a special black and white animated film featuring Mickey Mouse made especially for the various Mickey Mouse Clubs across the country. It was released in 1930.

The Story

Mickey and the "Mickey Mouseville Jazz Band" appear on a stage and perform the song "Minnie's Yoo-Hoo." Then, Mickey invites the audience to sing along as the word to the song are presented on the screen.

  • Technically not part of the Mickey Mouse Cartoon series, this film was created to be shown at meetings of the 1930s Mickey Mouse Clubs.
  • The song "Minnie's Yoo-Hoo" was considered the theme song of both Mickey Mouse and the Mickey Mouse Club during the 1930s. It was written by Walt Disney and Carl Stalling.
  • The song was first performed by Mickey in the 1929 short Mickey's Follies. Much of the animation in the film Minnie's Yoo-Hoo was also taken directly from this earlier film.
  • Despite her name being in the title and being predominantly mentioned in the song performed, Minnie Mouse does not appear in this film.
  • The "Mickey Mousevill Jazz Band" ressembles the Four Muscians of Bremen from the eponymous 1922 cartoon
