Mickey's Philharmagic is a twelve minute 3-D show in Fantasyland in the Magic Kingdom.

[edit] Location

Mickey's Philharmagic takes place in the Fantasy Faire Theater, original home to the Mickey Mouse Revue and later home to Magic Journeys, Captain EO and the Legend of the Lion King stage show. The theater is adjacent to Peter Pan's Flight and across from Cinderella's Golden Carousel. The theater holds seats for 486 guests and space for 10 wheelchairs and the world's largest seamless projection screen at 150 feet long and 38 feet high.

[edit] Plot

Mickey is to perform for you today, but the guests are shown into the theater by Goofy (voice-only) before everyone is ready. Minnie Mouse (voice-only) then advises the audience to not put on their 3-D glasses until the show starts. Once the show starts, she announces Mickey to the stage. The curtain is raised to little more than stands accompanied by Donald Duck sleeping on a trunk. A visible rushed Mickey Mouse hurries onto stage and wakes Donald, who he tells to set up the instruments. Before Mickey goes off stage, he sets up the Sorcerer's Hat, which he commands Donald not to touch. After Donald grumpily sets up the instruments, he is tempted, and puts on the hat. Donald has some fun with the instruments, until a small flute disobeys his command. He begins harassing the flute, which brings the instruments to rebel. A whirlwind is formed, the hat falls off of Donald's head and the rest of the show is spent following Donald's attempts to retrieve the hat from famous classic Disney movies, all in 3-D. When things start to get out of hand, Mickey returns and puts things back to normal with magic (ala Yen Sid from The Sorcerer's Apprentice). Donald gives Mickey back the hat and Mickey finishes the show off by playing the last few notes of The Mickey Mouse March. Donald is then launched to the back of the theater, where a audio animatronic of the lower half of Donald can be seen struggling to get loose. The show ends, Donald eventually gets into the hole and the audience is guided out of the theater.
