Mickey's Gala Premiere

Mickey's Gala Premiere is a black and white Mickey Mouse short that was released on July 1, 1933. Mickey, Minnie, Pluto, Clarabelle, and Horace attend the premiere of their latest cartoon, "Galloping Romance," at Graumman's Chinese Theatre. The group arrives in a limo, walks the red carpet, and is surrounded by famous actors and celebrities of the time. The cartoon is prehaps best remembered in 1939 when The BBC was airing the short, when it closed it's television department after Britan declared war on Germany. In 1946, when BBCTV resumed broadcast they aired the short again.
