Whoever keeps removing Banzai's father from the page should stop, because Banzai did have a father and he was mentioned in the musical. He was a former member of the clan until he was eaten by Nala's mother Sarafina. And someone should stop removing the names Kamari and Azizi from the page, because those are Banzai and Ed's names in the 2019 remake.
Not only was the article plagiarized, but the character was mentioned only once and had little relevance to the plot, and was a minor character because of that - minor characters don't warrant an article on here.
I've recently reported more sockpuppets to the staff, and they have a suggestion on how to block out any future sockpuppet accounts. They call it abusefilter.
Example: We've had a user who ends his/her usernames with the numbers "7700". Current recent accounts were "RobinsonWilliam7700" and "WoodyWoodpecker7700". With abusefilter we can target any user with a username ending in "7700". Before I agree to this, I want to hear what you guys think. The staff will add it for us should we accept. If this can permanently stop or postpone future sock-accounts we commonly get, I'd say we should go for it.
I've been looking around and trying to figure out who the best person is to talk to about Frozen, and you seem like a good person!
I am an administrator on the Frozen Wiki, and my reason for coming here was to ask if I could have some assistance in generating some more visits to our Wiki. We've never really been a large/popular Wiki, which I don't mind, but I was hoping for a little more interest around the release of Olaf's Frozen Adventure.
One way I thought of stimulating some interest was adding our website to the external links section on the main Frozen page, but I wanted to hear some thoughts on this before going ahead.
If you're not the best person to talk to, then who would be best to consult?
Currently, the Frozen Wiki is affiliated with the Disney Wiki, but we do add external links to the (un)official wikis of said franchise onto their respective pages here (including Star Wars and Pixar wikis, for instance). What you suggest is a good idea to generate visits to the Frozen wiki and would help connect the wikis together, and one I am not opposed to. You are also welcome to talk to To Bluetopia, Hey1234 and the other admins here for more insight.
Thank you for the response. Just had a few queries to round off:
What form does this affiliation take? And do you mean to say that our Wiki is not official, or are you talking generally? I should probably know the answer to that, but I don't really know where our Wiki stands in relation to others. Undoubtedly Disney Wiki is official, but I'm not sure how other Wikis are seen. Also, how is official defined? Recognition by the creators of the material, perhaps?
I'll be sure to ask around should I have any other questions.
EDIT: I see that as far affiliation is concerned on our website, we have a link to Disney Wiki at the bottom of our home page.
By official, I was talking generally. I meant it's the most well-known wiki around that documents that franchise, because there can be duplicate wikis of the same thing. I'm not the one to decide what is official, but it's usually if the Fandom community recognizes and links to it.
As for affiliation, we have a page for affiliates on the main page, but to have an affiliation, you only need to ask a few admins. It does let users know that there are other wikis that focus on the material more specific to the media than the Disney Wiki.
