I know this is an English wiki but those pages have done absolutely nothing to hurt anyone or anything and plus, they were related to Disney. Do you know that some of these foreign voice actors have their own Wikipedia page but not another one in English. I even recently dedicated my user page to creating foreign voice actors and helping other users do the same thing. Plus, I only wanted the international voice actors category to be improved, not removed.
We're not Wikipedia, we don't need to list all the foreign voice actor pages. Besides, the subwikis would list the actors who voiced them in the dub, so it's unnecessary to have them here when those wikis already do it for us. If you wanted to improve the international voice actors, adding more pages is not equal to making it better; if anything it makes it more clustered. You can improve international voice actors by noting roles they've done in addition to English-speaking roles.
I never said this was Wikipedia and when I meant "improve the international voice actors category", I only meant by removing the actors who are not from the United States and have done English voice acting roles and keep the ones that have done foreign dubbing for Disney. Plus, I checked out some of those subwikis in the past (well, maybe not all of them) and they hardly have had any improvement done to them. Plus, I don't see why that was a valid reason to remove my articles and do you have any idea how hard I've worked just to create them?
International voice actors can still encompass the U.S., the name is "international" after all. Regardless, you can add that information to the subwikis as they're more pertinent their than they are here. For the English viewer, it doesn't make sense to see articles on people who haven't been in any role they've literally heard of and it only confuses them as to why they're known for voicing that character because it's a foreign language.
Look, I'm just going to be honest here. I came here because there wasn't enough articles about Italian voice actors who have worked for Disney and since I have a vast knowledge of them, I thought I would add them in and to help expand the wikia. I didn't come here to be dictated by other users about what I should put in and what I shouldn't put in (although Alex242121's advice made sense) and to just suddenly have my articles deleted. I have been on other English wikis where foreign language actors are present and they made absolutely perfect sense to me and no one else has had a problem with them. What you're saying makes absolutely no sense to me and I believe that people should have the right to put whatever they want on this wiki as long as it relates to Disney. There was nothing wrong with my articles whatsoever.
Disney is huge, however, and the Disney Wiki doesn't have to be like other wikis. If we put everything in, it would clutter everything and how the pages relate to Disney would be ill-defined. As long as I can remember, this wiki has been focusing on everything that Disney's been directly associated with and endorsed. International voice actors are another story. I discussed this with the other members of staff, and they agreed that adding foreign voice actors whose only contribution was voicing a dub and had no role in the actual production of the film aside from the voiceover, especially when they're not covered on the film and character pages, then they don't belong here.
I do apologize if removing your articles seems abrupt, but leaving them be doesn't excuse them from staff assessment.
You know what? That's it! I give up. All I wanted to do was to help contribute to the Disney wiki by helping add pages about foreign voice actors that ARE related to Disney. Only to just be screwed over because apparently "adding foreign voice actors" is a concern. Sure it's a lot but it's not of any concern, It's just a page, and nothing more and I believe that this whole concern is just a matter of opinion. So, if nobody wants my hard work about these people on this wikia, then I'm just going to stop right there, I mean, all this hard work, for nothing! This was just a complete and utter waste of my time! I quit!
I originally posted this question on Alex2424121's wall, but he didn't answer it, so I'll ask you, SilverFlight, since I have a particular history with you, which has apparently seemed to cool down in more recent times...
There are two Elsas on this wiki: Elsa Van Helsing, a supporting character from Frankenweenie, and Elsa the Snow Queen, the lead character from Frozen. On the Elsa Van Helsing page, at the top of the article, I put the message, "Not to be confused with Elsa the Snow Queen, the lead character from Frozen." On the Elsa the Snow Queen page, I put the message, "This article is about the lead character from Frozen. For the supporting character from Frankenweenie, see Elsa Van Helsing." The information on the former page was kept, but for some odd reason, Alex2424121 removed that information on the latter page. Now, between the two Elsas, the Snow Queen is more popular, but what if she's not the Elsa that you're looking for? What if you're looking for Van Helsing instead? Shouldn't there be information on the top of the Snow Queen's page directing you to Van Helsing's page?
Yes - they're called by their superhero names all over advertising, also that's a common with most superhero articles here. I write them in templates first so that I know which pages need the link changed without clutter.
Just a heads up. On April 22 we publish the theme design to celebrate the release of Avengers: Infinity War. Everything is ready on my personal Wiki. It needs some finishing touches like the colours for the home page.
