It's come to my attention that in the last three years number of Administrators have dropped down to four. With great respect, User:Hey1234, User:SilverFlight, User:GrayWolf2, and User:JeremyCreek are sometimes unavailable during crisis situation, such as spamming, vandalism, and trolling. I've been watching you and several other users on how you act so quickly against vandals.
Take the incidents with these two users for example (User:Franciswickersham299User:F you in the A), Disneyfan789 and MHarrington fought their hardest to prevent anymore damage to the Wiki. They couldn't stop the vandals themselves. All they could do was message the only four administrators we have, and wait for an hour or so for them to show up.
So, I've made a proposal to the Administrators to recruit new users, and you among several others I consider to be the best choices. If I recall I once once nominated for the position of Administrationship, and it failed. I'd say the main reason for that was awareness. Nobody knew about it. The nomination page isn't something we can highlight, but we could highlight a link to it through forums.
Hi. Sorry for the late reply (I had been on holiday for a few weeks). I appreciate you thinking of me alot, but due to work commitments, I don't think I'd be able to fully do justice to the admin title (I'd still be able to continue my content mod duties though). Thank you for thinking of me.
The user is a vandal of several other accounts who keeps saying he's not vandalising when he is. This wasn't the first time, as he has five other accounts which you can find on my report page of sock-accounts. If you notice his activity again, undo it, place the article/image under temporal protection and report to the Admins. If he sends you protesting messages and has a go at you ignore him.
Hello, Lola987. I know that the picture of Henry Mills is the adult version of him, but the thing is that Jared S. Gilmore was Henry a lot longer than Andrew J. West. Would people be upset if replaced Andrew J. West's picture with Jared S. Gilmore's picture (since that's the picture I strongly believe should be there)?
The characters infobox should represent the updated vesion of them. While Jared Gilmore did portray Henry much longer, Andrew West portayed him for the remainder of the series, an it would be inaccurate to change his pic, as it isn't the last state we saw him in
Okay, but on ONCE UPON A TIME Wikia, they call Jared S. Gilmore a "special guest star". It's like whoever updated Henry's page on ONCE UPON A TIME Wikia is acting like it was Andrew J. West who played Henry for the whole series; that's just wrong. It should have said that Henry was played by Jared S. Gilmore in the first six seasons AND as a special guest star in season 7, and Andrew J. West should have just been listed as playing Henry in ONLY the 7th season.
If you have issues on that wikia, you'll have to take it with a content mod/admin on that site. Jared Gilmore was a "special guest star" in the final season, but if you would like to have it changed, you can suggest it in the comment section.
Hi Lola, I wanted to advise you that you copying from Wikipedia on entire information for the Spider-Man episodes and other articles is plagiarism, and that is not a practice that is allowed here, nor is it okay. So I ask that you don't do this in the future and try writing in your own words, or at least change the information as much as you can.
Thanks for letting me know, I will do so. I used to copy from wikipedia, but stopped. In regards to the Spider-Man episode articles I just made, they are synopsis' released by the Disney press, so I thought it was allowed. It just so happens that wikipedia uses them too, but I can stop using them as well, if you wish.
Hi. I just wanted to know if you made a decision about the Spider-Man articles. Like I said in the previous comment, the synopsis's that were added on the pages, were released by the Disney Press, but it just so happens that wikipedia used it too (a wikipedia contibutor didn't write it themself). Does this warrant the Spider-Man articles content to be reverted, or should we leave it?
Attention fellow Administrators and Content Moderators. Administrator SilverFlight wishes to place further limitations to the Navbox settings by removing the ability to give the logos independent sizes.
She is bothered by the different navbox sizes because the logos are differently sized, and believes we haven't maintained order here. By restricting all logos to one specific size everything will be in order and still be viewable for the average user. I don't agree with her. I don't believe anything is wrong with the different sized navboxes, nor is there anything out of order. The logos are reasonably sized for viewers to see and read, and the navboxes themselves are working the way they're supposed to. We have many different logos in all shapes and sizes. Size restrictions for wide logo designs would work for The Incredibles, Ratatouille or Pirates of the Caribbean, but not for designs like Star vs. the Forces of Evil, Sofia the First, Elena of Avalor, and Star Wars. Size restriction for these particular logos would make them incredibly/ridiculously small/large. For Star vs. the Forces of Evil, the text between "Star" and "Evil" would be a little hard to read. There should be an exception for certain logos, never mind if it makes the navbox look different in size. SilverFlight does not believe reading the titles is that important, and I think it is. We've never had issues with having different sized navboxes before. Why should there be issues now? The navboxes work fine and that's what matters.
i disagree with the restrictions for the reasons stated. The logos unfortunately for us, are all different sized, so placing restictions, won't create any morre consistency within the navboxes, than there already is.
You have permission to recreate the page if you wish, just as long as it's not copied. As for the other characters, I tend to only make pages for Once Upon a Time characters that have larger roles in the show, but if you wish to do so, that's fine.
I suggest renaming the Evanora the Wicked Witch page to just the Wicked Witch of the East and Theodora to Wicked Witch of the West. It would be like how there's a page for the Evil Queen. The rest would still be the same, but for Theodora, Theodora is only her name in Oz Great and Powerful, no where else and even though Zelena is only from Once Upon a Time. I was also thinking of creating a separate page for the Good Witch of the East since she is not a Disney version of the Wicked Witch of the East, but seems to be a character entirely different from the Wicked Witch and a page for the Good Witch of the North as well (from Once too).
Even though Once is heavily based and influenced on Disney, Disney itself takes priorities, and the Zelena articles, is just a subsection for Theodora's page - if a Once character is based on a character featured in Disney, they will be put on that page since this is a Disney wikia.
If you want to divide characters, based on their versions (e.g. A page for Spider-Man in the TV series, a page for Spider-Man for the Mavel Cinematic Unverse, a Wicked Witch page for the Oz film, a Wicked Witch page for the OUAT series, etc.) that will have to be discussed with an admin.
Even though Zelena is in the page, the page is made for Thedora. It's a page dedicated to her character, so we have to have her name. If you look in the infobox, it only shows information about Theodora. Like I said before, the Zelena section is just a piece in the Theodora article. I understand your reasoning, but the page is for Disney characters.
What do you think about replacing "Deceased" with cross "†" in relative sections? I know we're use to writing the phrase "Deceased", but using the cross replaces that need and shortens the amount of text that is written.
While Ivy and Anastasia from Once are based on their Disney counterparts, Clorinda and Tisbe aren't based on either one, and the Into the Woods versions resemble the original stories counterparts more accuately. Hope this cleared things for you ;)
