Matthew Broderick is an American actor and singer who is best known for his roles as David Lightman in the 1983 cold war film WarGames, the titular character in the 1986 teen comedy film Ferris Bueller's Day Off, Leo Bloom in Mel Brooks' Tony Award-winning musical The Producers, alongside Nathan Lane, Colonel Robert Gould Shaw in the 1989 drama war film Glory, and Dr. Niko "Nick" Tatopoulos in the 1998 sci-fi film Godzilla.
For Disney, he voiced adult Simba in the 1994 animated film The Lion King, and its sequels, The Lion King II: Simba's Pride and The Lion King 1½. He also played the titular character and RoboGadget in the 1999 live-action film Inspector Gadget. Additionally, he portrayed Professor Harold Hill in the 2003 television film The Music Man.
