Man is the main antagonist in Bambi. He appears as an unseen villain. In the film he was responsible for the death of Bambi's mother when he shot her during hunting season. Near the end of the film Man returns to the forest with other hunters and a group of hunting dogs to help him kill more deer and the rest of the forest's animals. However Man and the other hunters left their campfire lit which caused a massive forest fire. Due to the severity of the fire it is possible that Man and his companions may have died during the devastation as they were not seen after this event.
[edit] Man's Dogs
These vicious hunting dogs where used by Man to track down Faline. They were relentless and violent, luckily Bambi was able to hold them back and give Faline enough time to escape. When they began chasing after Bambi, he climbed up an unstable rocky ledge which caused a rock slide that put an end to Man's dogs once and for all.
