"Made Me Realize" is the name of a song by Brad Breeck for MTV's Awkward. Due to its strong similarities with the theme song for Gravity Falls, it is commonly referred to as the full version of the theme song.

A demo reel of music for the show was released in 2011 by Dan Cantrell, who also composed work on The Marvelous Misadventures of Flapjack, with singers chanting the title of the show. This was later disposed in favor of Breeck's work.

Trivia

• A quick glimpse of what appears to be Bigfoot can be seen about 15 seconds into the opening sequence.
• Towards the end of the song you hear a voice whisper, "I am still here." But play it backwards, you hear, "three letters back." This is how one solves the cryptograms at the end of each episode.
