Kristoffer "Kris" Kristofferson is an American country singer, songwriter, musician, and actor, known for his distinctive gravelly voice. He wrote and recorded several Grammy-winning songs, such as "Me and Bobby McGee" and "Sunday Mornin' Comin' Down". Outside of music, he also starred in various films, such as playing Abraham Whistler in the Blade franchise and Reed Haskett in the 2011 drama film Dolphin Tale and its 2014 sequel. Other notable films include Alice Doesn't Live Here Anymore, Heaven's Gate, and A Star is Born. Additionally, he voiced Old Donkey in the 2017 Sony Pictures animated biblical comedy film The Star.

For Disney, he made a special guest appearance in the third season premiere of The Muppet Show, where he guest-starred alongside his then wife Rita Coolidge. He also played Adult Billy Coleman in the 2003 adaptation of Where the Red Fern Grows, and voiced Pops in the Handy Manny episode "Motorcycle Adventure" and Talon in the 2008 direct-to-video film Snow Buddies.

His song "Me and Bobby McGee" was featured in The War at Home.

His song "One Day at a Time" was featured in Ordinary Decent Criminal.
