King Candy's cane is red and white in color, its design resembling a peppermint candy cane treat, possibly being a play on words. Its red, spherical tip resembles a classic lollipop wrapper. It is rather small in size, barely reaching King Candy's waist, and doesn't seem to be used in a practical sense as, despite being elderly, King Candy does not appear to have any complications physically, let alone with walking. The cane is mostly for the king's classy aesthetic, and typically remains inside a special compartment of his kart, the Royal Racer, throughout the film.
The cane can be first seen shortly after King Candy's introduction inside the Royal Racer as Vanellope von Schweetz looks to the leaderboard and cheers, "And I'm in it!", to herself. Later on during the Random Roster Race, Vanellope becomes dangerously close to crossing the finish line, which would reveal King Candy's true identity as Turbo and rest the game's reprogrammed settings. To prevent this, King Candy rams his kart into Vanellope's, and jams his cane into the gas pedal, allowing the Royal Racer to remain in motion as Candy strikes at Vanellope. After King Candy's true identity is revealed, Turbo kicks the cane aside to resume control of the kart, as he plans to drive Vanellope head first into a stalagmite. The cane is presumably destroyed shortly thereafter, when King Candy is consumed by a Cy-Bug, while driving his kart.
- Though the cane is only briefly seen in the film, it is prominent in a majority of King Candy's concept art, as well as promotional art and merchandise, as his primary accessory.
